Sarah England, PhD has been appointed to the Campion Fund Scientific Advisory Board. She is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Alan A and Edith L. Wolff Professor of Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She is also the Associate Director of the university’s Center for Reproductive Health Sciences. She received her BA from Carleton College and her PhD from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Following her education and a postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt School of Medicine she joined the faculty of the University of Iowa in the Department of Molecular Physiology and Biophysics. Dr. England was a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Fellow in 2005-2006. During that fellowship she worked in the office of Senator Hillary Clinton on polices related to maternal child health, women’s health and issues related to the healthcare workforce. Her research currently focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying uterine function during pregnancy. She has been funded by many agencies including the National Institutes of Health, American Heart Association, and the March of Dimes. Dr England has published numerous research and review articles and is internationally known in both basic science and clinical fields. We are pleased to have her as a Scientific Advisory Board member.
