Welcome New Board Of Directors Member Katrina Adams-Waldorf

Katrina Adams-Waldorf, MD has accepted an invitation to join the Campion Fund Board of Directors. Dr. Kristina Adams Waldorf is a physician-scientist and Professor in the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Adjunct Professor of Global Health at the University of Washington. She has studied bacterial and viral infections in pregnancy, maternal-fetal immunity, and therapeutics to prevent preterm birth and fetal injury for nearly 20 years. She is a core scientist at the Washington National Primate Research Center and a member of the University of Washington Center of Innate Immunity and Immune Diseases and Center for Reproductive Sciences. The core of her research program is the pregnant nonhuman primate model, which enables a comprehensive investigation of host-pathogen interactions with the dam, placenta, and fetus. As a scientist, her goal is to provide a highly respectful, inclusive, and collaborative lab training environment to help her students learn, develop professionally, and meet their goals.
